Staten Island Foot and Ankle Injury Care: Ferry Yourself Away From Chronic Pain
The Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine cares for many Staten Island podiatry patients who are unable to find the level of foot and ankle care they need without expanding their search. Our board-certified podiatrists and podiatric surgeons at our Manhattan office specialize in the treatment of:
- Chronic pain – Plantar fasciitis heel pain, nerve damage, neuromas, neuropathy, arthritis
- Acute trauma – Fractures, ligament sprains, muscle strains, tendon tears, deep bruises
- Elective surgery – Bunion repair, hammertoe correction, total ankle replacement
- Disease management – Diabetes foot care, arthritis treatments, Charcot’s foot
Not Every Staten Island Podiatry Practice Has The Latest Technology.
You’ll find there are many “old school” podiatry practices in Staten Island. You come in with toenail fungus and they send you home with ineffective topical medication you have to apply every day for months on end, or they prescribe an oral medication that requires ongoing liver monitoring. Older treatment methods don’t always provide effective results, which is why we invested in technology like the PinPointe Footlaser that speeds healing. Come to our Manhattan offices on E 88th Street for the most effective therapy for your foot pain.
Dr. Josef J. Geldwert, head of our NYC podiatry group, chairs meetings of the American Academy of Podiatric Medicine and keeps current on the latest advances in podiatry. After extensive research and training, he has brought many of the most exciting new FDA-approved technologies to our Manhattan and White Plains, NY offices including:
- MLS Laser
- MIX5 Therapy Laser
- Ultrasonic debridement
- Laser toenail fungus removal
- Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections
- Focused Aspiration of Scar Tissue (FAST)
- Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy
- Computerized Orthotics Scanning
- Computerized Pressure and Gait Analysis
- Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation

Our knowledgeable and attentive medical staff is happy to answer any questions you may have, without condescension.
